Welcome to ReadMyBible.com!

We’re all about encouraging people to read through their Bible.

Have you ever read your Bible cover to cover? GREAT! We invite you to read it again with us.

Would you like to read through your Bible for the first time? GREAT! You've found the right place. Let’s read the Bible together.

Here’s what to do.

  1. REMEMBER: God’s word is alive and powerful. It will do its job even if you don’t understand it. Like any good medicine you don’t have to understand everything about it for it to work.
  2. DECIDE ON YOUR PLAN: Look at the various reading plans in our READ THE BIBLE section. Pick a plan that suits your style. Decide when to start. Today would be good!! Your starting day is your day one.
  3. PRINT YOUR PLAN: Print out your reading schedule. Keep this schedule in your Bible. Refer to it every time you read.
  4. SUBSCRIBE to ENCOURAGING WORDS: It’s your way of getting regular reading reminders and encouragement to continue reading. We’ll include insights from others who are reading, and if you wish, we may include your comments for others to read.

This is a two way communication. You can email us if you need a little extra help or if you get off track.

Just so you know…you can opt-out at any time. Each email we send will give you that option. And, we will never give or sell your name to anyone else. No fine print, it’s our promise to you.

  5. PRAY: Dedicate your reading project to the Lord in prayer. Since he’s already promised to bless you for reading and meditating on his word, (Joshua 1:8) you could start by thanking him, in advance, for the blessing he has in store for you as you read. Could you get excited about that?

One more little thing... do you have a Bible?

We recommend you read through a Bible that has very few notes. These are known as ultra-thin Bibles. If you take out all the study notes you’ll see how much shorter a book the Bible really is.

If you need a Bible without notes, please visit our RESOURCE page. There are several translations Bible’s to choose from. (You’ll learn more about translations in time, under BIBLE STUDY.)

Here are a few suggestions. If you want a Bible that is very readable, choose either
    • New International Version or
    • Living Bible Translation

If you’re more interested in a more exact translation, choose either:
    • New King James Bible
    • New American Standard Bible

If the old English is not a distraction for you or if you just love reading the Bible in this older English, then the Bible for you will be:
    • The King James Bible.

That’s it! You’re set. Have you made your decision?

Now, click here to send us an email to let us know your planned starting date.

We’re excited for you, and will remember to pray for you all along the way. Remember, we’re reading with you.
